Here are some Easter Eggs for movies whose titles start with a number or the Letter A.
The 10th Kingdom |
| On disc #1's main menu, go to "Special Features." Highlight the 1st Kingdom. Press your LEFT arrow button and go to the 3rd kingdom. Press the UP button to go to the 4th Kingdom. Press the RIGHT arrow button and a small castle appears. Press ENTER and some info about the 10th Kingdom appears. Once you have viewed this screen press the UP button which selects the magic mirror. Press ENTER to see a short movie about the 10th Kingdom. This clip is a "spoiler" if you haven't seen the main movie, yet. |
1941 |
| On disc one, go to "Language," then click on "Spoken Language." Now click on "Isolated music score." This will play the entire musical soundtrack. |
The Abyss - 2 disc set |
| There are LOTS of hidden trailers for other movies on this disc. On disc 2's "Special festures" section, go to "More." Click on "Trailers." Move the cursor down to the "True Lies" poster & click to see that trailer. Move the cursor up to the Aliens poster & click to see that trailer. Go to the right to see "Strange Day"'s trailer. On disc 2's "Special festures" section, go to "Mission Components." On this screen use the arrow buttons to get above the water. Go up past the the wave and highlight the Harrier plane. Press ENTER to see a "True Lies" trailer. There are Alien "facehuggers" on many menus. Clicking on them will usually take you to a trailer for Aliens. There is also an Aliens trailer in the "Imaging Station" listed as "Pseudopod Multi-Angle." In the Imaging Station, Highlight "Image Gallery Menu" then click the DOWN arrow. This will lead you to a Strange Days trailer. Finally, from the Main menu, go to Audio Options. Click on "Hydrophone Checkout" the see a Dolby Digital clip. |

The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzai |
| On the main menu, move the cursor to highlight the center car. Press ENTER to see a
bunch of quotes from the movie. On the main menu, move the cursor to the center car and then press LEFT one more time. A yellow button will be highlighted. Press ENTER to see some menus layouts that were not used. When I first saw the movie, I was intrigued by the scene with the watermelon. Evidently, I was not alone. In the "Special Features" section, click on "Deleted Scenes." Move the cursor to highlight the "Special Features" button at the bottom of the screen. Press the LEFT arrow button and highlight the watermelon. Press ENTER to see a newspaper article about Perfect Tommy's experiment with watermelons. But wait, there's more! After you read the article, press the "More" button to go to the next page. On this page, use the UP button to go to the Banzai logo. Click this to see a short clip about the watermelon. Go from the "Special Features" menu to the second page. Click on the "Banzai Institute Archives" button. Highlight the "Special Features" button at the bottom, then press RIGHT to go to the Banzai logo. This reveals some marketing plans for the movie. |
The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert |

Alien - 20th Anniversary Edition |

All of the recent versions of the Alien movies have Easter Eggs. There are three of them in this movie. On the main menu, highlight "Extra Features," press the LEFT button. This highlights a window. Press ENTER to see some crew credits for the DVD. On the main menu, highlight "Scene Selections," press the RIGHT button. This highlights a different window. Press ENTER to see the Nostromo's flightplans and some info about the crew. On the "Extra Features" menu, move the cursor down to the acid at the bottom of the page. Press ENTER to see Kane's report about the lifecycle of the alien. |

| On the "Special Features" menu, click on the "Making Of" selection. At the end of the clip is another feature on deleted scenes from the movie. |
Alien Quadrilogy |

Talk about a hidden feature, the second disc of each of the movies has a special feature that contains a
credits page you can only reach by entering a password. The password for each movie's page is the release
date for that movie. You will have to enter some numbers from your remote's numerical keypad.
You can access this feature on each disc's "Navigation Options" section. Here are the passwords: Disc 2: 5 25 79, Disc 4: 7 18 86, Disc 6: 5 22 92, Disc 8: 11 26 97. On disc 4's Main Menu, click "Post-Production." On the screen that comes up, highlight "Final Countdown," press UP button. This takes you to an interview clip called "A Boy and his Power Loader." It is a funny story of how a guy got together James Cameron. On disc 8's "Post-Production" page two, highlight the "Back" icon. Press the DOWN button to highlight an icon at the top of the screen. This is a clip by David Prior where he describes being one of the aliens. |

| Although New Line Home Video actually advertised Dr Evil's hidden feature page on the packaging of their release of 'Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me', it is not exactly easy to find... but here's how! From the disc's main menu, go to the special features section. Now, just watch Austin do his little schtick and don't touch anything. After about one minute, Dr. Evil's space ship will come by, leaving the Evil symbol behind. Click on the symbol and you'll be treated to a number of features dedicated to the evilest masterminds of them all... including the great and infamous 20-minute comedy Central Special. |
