Howdy,
This is not a normal newsletter. I just wanted everyone to know that I
have transferred most of my pages over to the new computer system. If
you have any links to my pages, I suggest changing them. It is actually
pretty simple.
If the old link was:
http://philkon.tripod.com/links12.html
The new link is:
http://americanindian.net/links12.html
The same thing applies to:
http://members.tripod.com/~PHILKON/
http://members.tripod.com/~philkon/
...and all of the other possible permutations.
Most of the old pages have a link to the new page. You might still have
some problems in reaching the old sites, though.
==========================
Incidentally, one of my readers said she was sad to see I was having
problems with Tripod. Actually, Tripod has been a pretty good home.
Everything they did was for free. I have been pretty happy with them
over the years. I can understand their bandwidth changes. I also
recommend them if you want to get your own free website.
==========================
Whew! My fingers are sore from all of the typing. It might be a bit
before I get around to doing a regular newsletter for February.
That's it for now. I am going to go rest my fingers.
Phil

start of newsletter
======================
Hi,
I think I have transfered all of my webpages to my new address at
http://americanindian.net . If you find any pages which do not appear to
function properly, I would appreciate hearing from you.
Below is an e-mail I received from Becky Adkins. You might want to tune
Oprah on Monday:
Rick West (Southern Cheyenne), Director of the National Museum of the
American Indian, Smithsonian Institution will be a guest on the OPRAH
show airing on Monday, February 11. Rick was also taped at the George
Gustav Heye Center, the NMAI museum located in New York City where he
soike eloquently about many aspects of Indian history and life. This
segment will be incorporated in the overall program along with his
appearance with Oprah Winfrey. The entire program will be about
American Indians and will be a major step toward educating the general
public.

That's it for now...
