. . . . . . . ======================= Start of the newsletter ======================= Hi, I have always enjoyed the year-end holiday season (except for the drunk drivers). I try to remember all of the good things in life., the sacrafices people make for each other, the love that lasts through hard times and adversity, the joy in a young child's eyes when they see holiday lights, young love and long held affections, rememberances of good times, warm moments with friends and family. I have been thinking about sending out a message wishing all of you a happy holiday season. The Cherokee Nation's website has a very nice holiday greeting. So, I am posting this link so you can visit their site and see and hear what the good people there have created. It may take a bit of time to load and it does require that you have the flash player installed. http://www.cherokee.org/flash/christmas ============= Here is also a link to an article written by Kevin Gover, a columnist for Indian Country Today, and the former Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs in the U.S. Department of the Interior. It is titled: "A year-end rumination: It's getting real cold in Washington" http://www.indiancountry.com/?printable=1040402026 ==================== I'll be turning fifty, next Friday. For those multi-millionaires of you who get this newsletter, my favorite color is blue and I really like the next Lexus. :-) Again, best wishes for the holiday season.
