The meeting is at Lake Murray Park.

You are invited to attend a Cherokee cultural presentation featuring: Mr. Ryan Mackey This presentation will consist of a general talk about the ceremonial grounds and some of the traditional values associated with the ceremonial grounds. This presentation will also incorporate ties to the Cherokee language. Ryan is a Language Curriculum Specialist employed by the Cherokee Nation’s Curriculum Instruction and Translation Department. Ryan received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in Native American Studies with an emphasis on Law, Policy and Economic Development and with a minor in Anthropology. Ryan and his family are currently in the process of moving back to the Kenwood community.

We will also be having a meal. The SDCC will provide the entree. Attending members should provide the following items. If your last name begins with the following letter, please bring:
