The Bonampak ruins are approximately 75 miles southeast of Palenque. The entrance fee is 30 pesos. It is a long walk from the park entrance to the ruins. You can get a ride, but it must be from one of the local people. You can also rent a bicycle. The buildings with the murals are not very well-lit. You can see the light from a small flashlight on some of the walls.
