Carrie Prejean, Miss California USA
Carrie Prejean (and her mother, Francine Copolla) visited KUSI on May 19, 20 and 21st. She co-hosted Good Morning San Diego on the 20th and 21st.
Carrie Prejean wasn't always a beauty queen. In her high schools days she was quite an athlete. She played basketball, ran cross country, and even played golf. Miss California spoke to our resident morning show golf expert, Joe Lizura, about her days as a duffer at Vista High School, and we even talked to her old golf coach, Andy Crouch!
Carrie Prejean grew up a huge Padres fan, and in spite of her duties as Miss California, Carrie finds time to work for the Padres as a member of the Pad Squad.
Carrie, her mother Francine, and her father Wil Prejean, came back on June 12 to talk about her losing her title of Miss California USA. They felt it was an intentional slight by the organizers of the Miss California pagent because of her answer to the question about single-sex marriages.
