Fashion expert Leonard Simpson
Fashion expert Leonard Simpson is one of our regular guests. Leonard is up on all of the latest fads,
trends and styles in fashion. He comes on regularly to show us great fashions and to talk about local
entertainment events. We all enjoy his regular fashion shows and tips on where to get great deals.
Leonard has lent his fashion expertise to both ABC & CBS doing "red carpet" commentary for the Oscars
and the Emmys.

On March 21, 2006, Leonard brought by some models to demonstrate how some old fashion "don'ts" are not
fashion "dos."

Mixing patterns can work.

Satin can be OK during the morning.

Mixing beige and white used to be a "don't." Not it is OK.

Mixing colors & jewelry can look good.

Leonard is showing off some of the jewelry from "Rock Candy Jewel Salon." Rock Candy sells jewelry
which was once worn or owned by famous people.

Oprah Winfrey once wore this.

Susan really liked this necklace with two crosses.

Some beautiful rings.

Halle Berry's "Peace & Love" necklace and earrings.

Salma Hayek wore these on the Red Carpet.

Consciously Social Events presents the first annual 2006 Jeans For Justice Fashion Show and Auction
benefiting the San Diego Center for Children in an effort to unite the San Diego community in a
stylish, high-energy benefit honoring Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Jeans for Justice took place April 27,2006 at Stingaree in the downtown San Diego Gaslamp District.
Artists and designers from around San Diego and Los Angeles were given a pair of Chip and Pepper
jeans in the weeks preceding the show to innovate and produce a unique piece of wearable art. These
one-of-a-kind creations were modeled in a high-energy runway show the night of the event. Selected
pairs of the jeans were auctioned live on stage after the show, and the rest will be modeled during
the remainder of the night in an interactive silent auction.
Participating designers and artists included Ginger Che, Andy Howell, Laura Gambucci, Ginga Placek,
Carla Manuel of Kites Design, Patricia Frischer of San Diego Visual Arts Network, Jamie Roxx, Carly
Strass from Seven for all Mankind, Fortune Industries, and Maxine Orange.
This memorable night also included a VIP party for sponsors, media, and community partners starting
at 6:30 p.m. After the visually stimulating runway show, hosted by KUSI's Leonard Simpson & Aimee Fuller,
guests were invited to Stingaree's rooftop deck to view a screening from the San Diego Women's Film
Festival and shop among the collections of participating designers and artists.
The mission of the San Diego Center for Children's Clark Adolescent Program is to promote the
well-being of children, youth, families, and communities by providing an array of effective mental
health, educational and social services. Through the Clark Center, at-risk youth and their families
find a safe and therapeutic environment to escape from violent home situations and deal with the
emotional affects of both sexual and physical abuse.
