On October 27th, 2005, Jack Klugman came by the KUSI studio to promote his book, "Tony And Me."
Jack was a great guest. He had lots of funny stories and mingled with everyone. At 83 years old,
he was in pretty good shape.
He is best known for his role as Oscar Madison in the TV version of The Odd Couple. He played
that role with Tony Randall in the 1970s. After that, he was the star of the original forensic
pathologist program, Quincy, M.E. This was the original TVprogram which featured a scientist
who solved crimes from clues on a dead body.
Jack mentioned that he had been part owner of a racehorse called Jaklyn Klugman. "That horse made me
$480,000 dollars. And, it only cost me $4 million." That gives you an idea of his sense of humor.
Here he is doing a quick promo for KUSI's Prep Pigskin Report.
Dan & Susan really enjoyed visiting with Jack.
Here's Jack talking with Susan while we show a clip from the DVD which comes with his book.
Renee also got a chance to sit in with Jack.
Jack said one of his secrets to life is to have a good laugh whenever you can.
Lots of folks came is to pose with Jack, including Jorge, Aimee and News Director Steven Cohen.
Here are (L to R) Me, Jack, Jorge, Aimee and Renee.
